FS: AutoX/Daily Driver AWD (non-Nissan) looking for a good local home
I'll get to the point for the specs of the car:
Year: 1999
Model: Impreza 2.5RS
Trans: 5 Speed Manual
Body: Coupe
Color: White
Miles: 106,xxx (edited: I had a typo before)
Price: $9,000 o.b.o. with all listed parts; $6,500 firm for stock
This car was designed to be an STS car for SCCA AutoX [Solo2] Racing. The car has won quite a bit of trophy places such as 2006 SCCA WDCR Regional Class Championship and a quite a few Subaru Challenges from 2005 to the present. The car has probably brought home more than a dozen trophies during the time 2 years of racing and it's been more than reliable for even daily driving.
The car was originally bought back in 2005 with the original miles and original motor of 80,000 miles. Since then, the car has a replaced OEM clutch (eventhough the original clutch is still in great shape, so i'll throw that in as part of the spares with this car). The car was taken care of by myself as well as Andrewtech Automotive for the typical head gasket issue known with this car. The motor runs really strong, almost uncanny strong. The motor can last another 100,000 miles without a doubt. No issues with this car other than a once in a while CEL of the knock sensor that may seem like it needs replacing. The trunk weather stripping will need to be replaced since some times you will see the spare tire wheel well collect water, but I quickly solved that by drilling a small drain hole to make sure that the water doesn't collect and rust the car. Minor rusting on the fender lips from the rock chips of the wider tires that I would run, but that can be easily cleaned up and repainted or touched up with touch-up paint. Overall the car from inside and out is very decent for a 9 year-old car. The car does still have some traffic cone markings from running over them during autocrosses, but it should be easy enough to buff out. The rear bumper of the car will need a repaint since it's been chipped up from the daily driving of other people tagging the car with their bumpers [they must be in a trance when looking at the car while they are parking ] Great for anyone wanting a car that is ready-to-run for autocrossing or even as a daily driver. If you want to know, I change the oil on this car every 3000 miles or less.
So here are the parts that are still on the car:
Injen Cold Air Intake
Blitz NurSpec Axleback Exhaust
Stromung Mid Pipe
Cusco Zero-2R Coilovers (Custom Valved with 10kg/mm front and 7kg/mm rear springs)
Cusco Rear WRX 22mm Sway Bar
SSR Competitions 16" x 7.5" Rims
5Zigen Heidfeld Generation 1 17"x7.5" Rims
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 225/45/17 Tires (15% tread left)
plus any OEM spares I have for this car. I also have more sets of SSR rims and R-compound tires that I can throw in and make the deal more negotiable.
This car handles way better than my 2005 Legacy GT with similar mods. The car has been corner balanced for a 150 lbs driver as well. This is one car that will really satisfy any serious driver. You can contact me through PMs or email at:

Thanks! Again, it's negotiable since i can take some parts out of the car and adjust the price, but taking those parts off won't make the car competitive for STS. There's plenty of extras and spares that comes with this car, but again, it's still negotiable..

I have this car posted on MAIC section. It's there. Haha.
i know, Im sad to see it go too because this car is so fast. The only thing is that this car runs out of steam after 110 mph (which isnt so bad, anyone can go ahead and toss in an STi motor and they'll have a 300+ whp beast and weigh 400 lbs less than an STi
with still more things that they can strip out to make it even lighter than an STi).after talking to one of my pro-rally driver friends, all the extra weight that the new WRXs and STis vs. GC body RS is coming from safety structures of the new body. So I guess as long as you dont crash, you can go faster with this car
I just saw your thread over there, I never go into the NASIOC classifieds anymore (no more STi
).
Anyway, good luck with the sale Keefe. Whoever gets this car won't be dissapointed.

when is the next meet you'll be going to? Btw, you do know that this RS i'm selling only makes 135 whp. Are you thinking of doing an STi engine swap and then upgrade the turbo and tranny too???
