definately excited for tonight, it sucks your not running justin it would be a lot of fun. question to anyone on here: i have run my car 2x at the drag on my current oil change once at mason dixon (2 runs) and once at capital raceway(approx 15 runs) should i change it again tonight? it has been about 2500 miles as well.

It wont hurt changing the oil. You figure tonight you will be able to run as many times as you want. Which could be anywhere from 30 to 40 runs. I always change mine before one of these events.

do an oil change with the motul 300V synthetic. You should be fine for a hour or two of hotlapping.

 

I'll be there, but wont be bringing my Z. Going up to have a good time and catch up with the regulars. I'll be taking pics, shooting video and consuming alcoholic beverages

Me going to a track with my Z and not running is like torture.

 

Well we over at MZC/3ZC have our annuall "Thanks Giving Track Meet." Guess, when...lol! I think a couple of you guys might have been there last year? Funny story about that; the first year we did it, our resident Evo guy was going to make his first ever ¼mile pass. Well, he launched, and I don't think he even got to the 60ft marker, and the transfer case exploded. We actually towed him away with one of the Z32's!!! Made for a pretty funny picture.

BTW, what's the deal with bringing beer...? Or anything for that matter... Are we all just on our own? If so, I'm gonna have to tell me Fiancee to make some sandwiches, and then we're going to have to take a trip to the liquor store.

 

not sure if the part stores around here in hagerstown would carry that so it might be a little difficult for me to try to get. i know some people do royal purple but i'm kind of partial to the mobil1 and it's readily available

I run Mobil 1 Euro Blend (real synthetic) 0W-40

You can get it any most parts stores and even Wal-Mart for cheap. Ive compared that to Motul in oil analysis and I prefer the Mobil 1-it also had a higher TBN after the same mileage. Motul is overpriced, dont believe the hype.

 

Looks like the wife and I will be getting a room for the night.

Neither of us will commit to not drinking.

Still debating on getting a room, I'll bring overnight stuff and go to the hotel after the track meet and if they have a room I'll get one. if not I'll just head home after getting food or something.
