Yeah so I'm super pissed. this economic stimulus package thing, I no longer get it. As of 4-15-08 they changed it. Now if you are claimed as a dependent on any ones income tax (I am because my parents pay for my college) you get.....NOTHING! But my parents wont get anything because I am over 17. so yeah i am super pissed because I was going to stimulate the economy! And now no one gets this money. So stupid, college kids need money to!

You could be paying for college yourself, so I wouldn't be complaining if I were you.

If you're a dependant, do you really think you deserve to spend other tax payer's money?

Just be glad your parents are paying for college. A lot of us are still paying for our student loans.

If you have dependents and make 77K or greater you will get less, untill you get to a certain point and get none. I'm single with no dependents, and i made greater then 77K so i get none! I'm ok with that though

around $78,000 per individual and $150,000 per couple. After that you start getting pro-rated rebates (less money). I think once you hit $300K you don't get squat.

Actually you should be getting "something" back just not the full $600. Also I think the 77K is for your AGI (adjusted gross income). It might be even after you itemize your deductions.

If I made 300k a year, I wouldn't care about getting a $600 check. Speaking of that tax rebate, when are we supposed to get them?

depends on the last two digits of your SSN, mine is in the 70's so I don't get the rebate til the end of May.

EDIT: I guess I'm getting mine May 16th.
