oh,,,, ****... I live in PG county too... (beltsville) I even live in small apartsments. I am thinking getting alarm soon.

 

I fell victim to f*cking thieves myself. The bastards stole my headunit, 2 amps, an iPod, and a PSP. Total replacement value ~$1300. Amount of damage done to the car= $11,000.00 Geico just totaled it. I moved into a townhome with a garage and bought a .45, I hope someone trys to f*ck with my car again. Anyway, a little advice for anyone living in an apartment or anywhere in PG County. Not only should you buy yourself an alarm, a good alarm, but also consider putting a baby monitor in your car at night. That way you'll hear if someone breaks your window or sets your alarm off, even if you don't have a clear line of sight to where your car is parked.

What kind of wheels are they? The dicking around has begun. Nobody will touch the car unless i get my own wheels on them. The insurance company also told me that they have five business days in which to do an inspection. I can't let this ish go on until next week.

 

the only thing an insurance company is good for is medical bills or to protect you from being sued if you hit someone. As far as damage to your car, whether it's from vandalism or an accident, they tend to screw you over as much as possible.

 

+1 My insurance company tried to give me a BS low amount for my Z when they totaled it, only $12K! They tried to say my car had 83K miles on it when it really had 38K. I ended up getting $21K, but if I didn't know any better they would have screwed me out of $9K.

 

How 'bout "security" lug nuts? I KNOW, I KNOW, some of our posters will scream that the thingies don't do squat! BUT, they're called deterrents, which
means they could actually make a difference in the thieves' decision to hit your monZter, or go get another one! If it'll take 'em an extra 3 or 4 minutes,
they'll move on to another vehicle. Get my drift?!!! A $3O investment isn't a financial burden, after all.
