ZX14 and the Busa are well suited for Bigger Riders also.

as far as first bike goes control your wrist = control your bike

Yes you can, a friend of mine has wanted to ride for a long time but always thought he was to big for a sport bike He was 6.6 290+ and I helped him pick out his bike (05 busa) you need to feel comfortable. Then he took the motorcycle safe rider course and learned his bikes power and throttle response he's been riding for two years now .

You're better off starting on a used XX blackbird or even older busa then on a smaller super sport the busa/XX is fast when you open it up, they're highway queens, I believe you'd live so much longer jumping on a busa then a GSX-R1000/750

Keep in mind, most highway (busa, XX, ZX12, bikes have a much easier to handle power band, yes they have a lot of power, but the bike is not as short and wheelie happy as smaller super sport bikes. on top of that, they're pretty heavy in the weight department. XX I believe is around 500lbs dry weight with 150hp, GSX-R1000 is around 375 dry weight and has 185hp.

Just keep your wrist in check, and you should be fine. My Z can do 150mph, doesn't mean I do it.. that often... Also keep in mind that small supersport bikes are very easy to go much faster then you think you're going when on backroads, the bigger bikes will give you a better sense of speed so its not as easy go find yourself doing 40+ over the speed limit thinking you're doing only 10 over =)

I hear this all the time and it really is such chit.

Yes, a good rider can pull off fast times on a 250, even faster times then a bad rider on a 600 or 1000. but a good rider on a 250 wont touch the times a good rider on a 600 or 1000 could do.

yes a good rider can make a 250 fast, but only if you're riding with a bad rider on a bigger bike.

I dare any one in the mid A section to try and hang with me on the backroads using a 250. It just wont happen.

I also bet I could hang with a lot of 600/1000s if I were on a 250, but only if the riders were only so so, if they were worth while riders I'd have no chance in hell.
