yes a good rider can make a 250 fast, but only if you're riding with a bad rider on a bigger bike.
I dare any one in the mid A section to try and hang with me on the backroads using a 250. It just wont happen.
I also bet I could hang with a lot of 600/1000s if I were on a 250, but only if the riders were only so so, if they were worth while riders I'd have no chance in hell.

If you didn't notice Charles and I had a a bit of friendly banter going back and forth.
wasn't there a member here in the Mid-A that works at a motorcycle dealer??? If anyone knows who this is or sees this please PM me! I am already working with Petes Cycle but a second opinion or some price help would be great!
Thanks!
Thanks!

I got back after my time in the army and had an FJ1200. Within a month I had almost been taken out 3 times. In the whole time I had it in the army I only had one close call. NC is a much safer place to ride, riding VA/DC/MD is just like putting a sign on your back saying "Hit Me". Much like the sign on your front saying "pull out in front of me".
I much prefer the dirt because the idiot factor is much lower... Except for the idiots on quads...

Daring anyone of us to try and keep up seems arrogant and pompous of you as well as just plain unsafe.

Even on a track, same thing stands true, although track prepped 250s are pretty sick bikes, , a stock 250/500cc bike wont touch a 600+ even on a small track, if both riders are of the same skill level.
As far as going to the track, I'd love to, you have no idea, but as always Maryland sucks major *****. In order for me to start doing track days Id have to get a whole setup, either a truck or trailer and then make full weekends of it. My insurance ladies husband is an instructor, hes always trying to get me to go with him, however I cant give up the time needed to do the whole trip there, stay two nights and come back just to get a track day in.
No matter what your riding style on the street, ride within your limits, it's when you're pushing it past those limits is when you run into problems. I've been riding on the street for almost 8 years now, I have yet to go down, it could happen any day, but I always make sure to stay well within my limits, and always dress to crash.
To dare someone to try and stay with me isnt asking someone to throw out all responsibility, if someone can't hang with out feeling outside of their comfort zone then so be it, back off. Truth be told, I rarely ever ride with other people. However, when I do ride with people, as you should know, I push the point to not try to keep up, go at your own pace, I don't care how long it takes you, I just want everyone to come out safe. I WILL wait at the end of the road.
