Maybe I dunno . But if that's the case i'm gonna start getting mine changed every 2500. I just passed 2500 on the way to 3000 yesterday. Think the weather could affect one turbo kit differently than another? Because of piping or something?

I got some info from weather.com and plugged the numbers into a density altitude calculator. With the heat and humidity from Friday night, our DA was about 2200ft. You can then use the NHRA's DA correction table to see what you might have run if we were running in perfect conditions at sea level. Multiply your ET by 0.9744 and your MPH by 1.0269.

Score! Bench Racing Ricer 13s.

BTW does anyone remember the DA last fall? I remember Alberto mentioned what it was on his 11.1 pass.

edit: NVM it's mentioned below.

Hmm..... that would put me about a 12.9 at 112 mph. (bench racer times)

2200 isnt ideal, but its not THAT bad. Our last track day was 1966 IIRC

Many NA people would have been in the 12's or VERY low 13's with better weather. BTW-FI cars use a different formula for DA "corrections" that is because they produce their own atmosphere....

My one-two shift is palsy-ish right now. I think if I learned to power shift on my one-two, I could shave off a couple tenths.

Yeah, powershifting would defintely help, especially in my case. Powershifting and running slicks could probably take 1 sec off of my ET.

We might hit up capitol periodically throughout the summer. You should come up.

Defn. but I would need a wingman from my area to join me (one slick in their passenger seat, one in mine). No effing way would I try to drive to the track on those death traps. I heard Charles drove them to the track with his hands at the 10 and 2 on the steering wheel, praying he would get there in one piece

hahah, i remember that. I was behind him doing 65 and watching his car sway from time to time. He was bent over the wheel driving like an old man. I can't blame him though.

Last time I went cops kicked everyone out at like 10:30 and started handing out tickets for soliciting... Haven't been there since . Has it calmed down?
