Default Ye Olde Wheel Shop Dilemma

I need your input on a situation. As you may remember Firestone fawked up my wheels a few months back and were paying to get them fixed. Well I have a check in my pocket to Ye Olde Wheel shop to get em fixed but the shop is so backed up that they expect that its going to take over three weeks if I bring my car up there. The Z is my daily driver so of course thats out of the question. Now my issue is, I am sitting on a check for almost 800 bucks that I cant use to get my wheels fixed. They said they expect to slow down in the fall but the check may be stale by then. My only thought/solution has been to give them the check and see if they would be willing to cut me a check in my name for the amount. What do u think, can or will it happen? Any other creative ideas?

Dan (he was at Mason Dixon - Silver Toyo Celica that broke an axel) is a pretty cool guy. I'm sure if you give him a call, he can work something out with you. A possible store credit - if in fact that is were you absolutely want your work done. I got my wheels refinished there - AWESOME work! Make sure you get a quote before you hand over 800 bones.

Good luck,
Karl

I'd imagine they could just put you in the calendar and call you a day or two before they think they'll have time for you, no??

I hear they do awesome work.

And they weren't lying! Unlike some of the AAM comments on this board, none of those people is sponsored.

Dan's a good friend of mine. They are pretty busy over there, but they do great work.
It is worth the wait.

I spoke with Dan today and he said he thinks he can get me in around the second week of July so I think things should be good to go. Dan definitely sounds like a good guy and was willing to work with me considering its my DD and I couldn't really go for too long without it.
