Then that makes perfect sence to me.It looks like you gave him plenty of warning to stop and he didnt.

i am so glad to see a post devoted to this shop. i took my z there a few months ago to have some new tires installed, and they were great. i have had some e-mail correspondance with james the owner, but have not met him. they took care of me the day i called, and they were great.(even when the owner was out of town) i have a JWT combo that they will be installing as soon as i get back from vacation. they build a lot of nice cars. i hope mine will be one of them some day soon.

Like I said earlier... I just wanted to ensure that no one else repeats this pattern to be banned (temp or perm) again. We all have friends that we love and quickly come to their defense when they are hurt (and rightfully so ). But just like I suggest to my wife, don't be so fast to jump on your girlfriends side, because her boyfriend did/said A or B. She does'nt have a halo on her head and there is always to sides to every coin....lol

Thanks Mod for clearing the air. It was starting to get funky!

Congrats Corey! I know it's been a long road for you.

It's about time you got some boost for yourself.

Enjoy driving it.

Thanks Bro!
Yeah its so fun to drive...from 5 to redline it gains 88 to the wheels...

Can you say quick shift! LOL Very fun.. Only pushed it hard like 3 times (as in three separate days) so I am still learning her and how she reacts.

One thing I will add is that the HP/TQ is perfect on the bottom end so the launch is flawless. I rarely spin the tires on launch so the 1/4 times should be nice.

Even less spin once the 295/25/21 show up with the New Works on them!

I broke the Z today drag racing.

I assume it is either the clutch or transmission. 63,000 miles and 5 seasons of racing I figure something was bound to break. I plan to contact JE Import Performance in the morning, and see if they can diagnose and fix the problem. I will keep you guys up to date. Baltimore 350Z drivers need a good local shop. We’ll see how things work out.

I dropped off car at JE this morning. The problem looks like a clutch problem. I decided to go with the Stage 4 Clutch kit from Competition Clutch. And the matching CCI Forged 13.5LB Steel Flywheel.

I thought we were supposed to stay away from any clutches that had a puck design, whether they were sprung or unsprung hubs.

Nice choice David, although launching will be slightly trickier with the light FW.

Corey-regarding that old post on the 12:1 A/F being too lean, I wanted to add...

if for example your car at 3000rpm's getting into boost was at 12:1 A/F that is ok. Ideally you dont want something like that near redline or especially TQ peak. The guy who posted that was right, but likely didnt realize that your loads/boost levels down low arent like a turbo car. Glad to see your so happy with your set-up. I always said if my stock block setup hadnt blown up, I would have never built my car, it was the perfect amount of 100% usable power for the street.
