Question Remember the Ford Falcon Cobra?

Most of you are too young to remember the 60's Falcon Cobra's...but it was a beast that lead to popularity of the word "cobra" here is a pic of what they used to look like... claim to fame...power and passenger room.

this is the new and improved version....please note front mount intercooler...its small but I bet the block is ready for additional boost and a intercooler upgrade!

Boost or Bust!

I just cant find infor on if its rear, awd, or fw drive!??? Anyone heard of this?

WOW!

Quoted from: http://www.revmods.com/cars/ford/for...dan-cobra-ute/

Both the GT Cobra and the Cobra Ute will be powered by FPV’s latest high performance Boss 5.4-litre quad-cam 32 valve V8 engine, which produces 302kW (404 hp) and 540 Nm of torque and both also come with FPV stainless steel fabricated exhaust manifolds and a high-flow dual exhaust system.

wonder if the curb weight is near that of the boat like Shelby GT500?

Thinking that might be an Australian Falcon from the early 70's. Here is a picture of my 1966 Falcon. I believe the last year for US Falcons was 1968.

Nice car man...real nice. I am from Alton BTW.

The car is in Aussie already I think. (speaking of the new one).

I hear it will come in stick and auto...RWD....but again, nothing confirmed by Ford.

I just like to stay up on the competition...

Its an efficent intercooler alot of people put huge FMIC on low boost applications when its not needed and just creates more lag and pressure drop on the application, I am sure its a low boost setup so its lightweight and extremely effective. I had a very lightweight tube fin design intercooler on my se-r and it was awesome then I upgraded to a 3 core bar and plate design and had more lag but cooler temps no doubt.

From what I heard of the car a few months ago it's going to be Aussie only. Shame that.

And Ford wonders why they are falling further down the top sales for cars sold in America...

Just like the turbo focus in Europe...that thing is sick...again...not sold in America.

I had a 97 F150 flairside straight pipes...SOLD
01 Mustang GT black on black with a powersunroof (extremely rare option) 400 crank.....SOLD

Would not buy another Ford car (unless its boosted....lol)....maybe a truck..and thats a maybe.. TITAN and TUNDRA sound better as of today.
