No you have never met me. Since 2003 I have had an EVOIX, a bunch of s13/s14's and just recently let go of my E46 M3.

I had been lurking for a long time, I like to read up on different cars, not just one brand. So anyway, 5 years later I am here.

I bought a Z on friday and it is sitting in my driveway waiting for the Lien to be released from the previous owner.

Yea I started with like 3 posts a day ago or something. My daily post count must be .0002 per day =p.

Side note:

Pho Saigon 54 in Laurel has only been around for a year and makes pretty good Pho and other rice dishes. I like to support the locals.

Further up. It is near the new shopping center on route 1 and Contee RD. There is a Longhorn, Applebees, Starbucks, Cold Stone and some other restaurants.

If I were not going to Mexico this weekend I would set something up. =p

- Thanks for the welcome.

Rule number 1 for eating Pho... Don't take it home. I like the place in Beltsville, Pho 87 I think. Next to Petco on Rt 1. I've never really been dissapointed by any of the local spots though. The one across from Costco is good also, a little more upscale looking, cash only.

Home made is great though, my girlfriend's mom makes it pretty regularly.

I have not been to Pho 87 in Beltsville, but the one across from Costo is pretty good but it only has Pho, no rice dishes.

My personal favorite Pho in MD is the Pho Hiep Hoa in Wheaton. One other goods one are in Langley Park, Pho 95 in Rockville and the Pho 75 across from MC.

Hell ya. Usually the restraunts aren't as good as the homemade. My gf's mother makes all viet cuisine since they are from ho chi minh (spelling?) city.

Hell yah! x2 - But I have to go outside the state to get that, so I am stuck going to restaurants here. Unless we have a Pho Meet at someones house!!!!!!!!!!! FTW.

OP, noodles in any broth end up sucking it up and getting funky, never do wet noodles to go.

I'm not sure if this is true but from what I've heard Pho sucks everywhere else except for Los Angeles.
You clearly have never been to NVA.

As far as the Pho place in Laurel, it is better then I ever expected, even more so since it's run by Chinese people. If you ever want to learn how to doll the pho up so it taste right, come out with me, lihn (gf who is viet) and charles, we're both pretty close to laurel. just give us a day and time.

Another option, if you guys want to do a meet, my GF's mom is a chef at a viet joint in springfield. we could always do a meet up there one weekend.
not only do they have good pho there but also everything else on the menu is good, that can't be said about a lot of pho places.

I have good and bad Pho in LA... Better Pho in Little Saigon in OC....

I guess the Laurel Place is owned by Chinese but run by Vietnamese... I know they play Paris by Night videos, but I have heard almost everyone in there speak Vietnamese and my friend has spoken to a few of them in Vietnamese.

I'm always down for some Pho. As long as it isn't at An Loi in Columbia... they suck.

There are two that are right off of Snowden River Parkway. An Loi sits next to a barbershop, closer to Brokenland Parkway. Pho Dat Thanh is a little north of there closer to the Lincoln Tech Institute. An Loi used to be owned by a Viet guy who had a restaurant in Columbia and one in Frederick. He kept the one in Frederick but sold the one in Columbia and its really gone down hill since.

The one near the burger king is An Loi. There are two more shopping centers just north of that one. One is directly across from LTI and one is inbetween that one and the one you were in. Here's a google map to help;

That big white building is LTI.

Pho Dat Thanh also has mostly Chinese working there, thankfully I believe the chef is Viet.

Pho Dat Thanh has good prices for being located in columbia and over all the food is pretty darn good, I've yet to try the pho there.
