Default First time at Function Tuned

Finally got around to taking my 350 to Dave at Function Tuned in Chantilly VA for some performance mods. I had scheduled it for a time when I would be on travel from Monday to Friday. Dave accepted my car on Monday and took me to the airport. Friday, I come back all ready to see how my car was running but had a message from Dave saying he was running behind and we'd have to work out something for my transportation. He picks me up at the airport and takes me to a rental car place and picks it up on his own dime. His shop is very busy. Of course I was disappointed but hey, we all get behind on things. So, the following Monday my car is done so I drop off the rental and pick up my car. She sounds and runs great! I am very satisfied with my car. Dave is a class act! He didn't have to rent me a car but he did without any discussion from me. He also takes his time to be sure the car is perfectly tuned before you get it back. He did not pay me or cut me any breaks to post this. I just thought it was my first time taking my car to him and his customer service is above the bar for sure. Combine that with his mechanical expertise and I think he really has a winning combination. Class act is really all I can say!:smoke:

Glad to hear to had a good experience. I feel super comfortable knowing Dave has my car whenever it’s over there. I’d rather it take a little longer and get done right than the other way around I think Dave subscribes to the same theory.

By the way what did you have installed?

Wolf C2 cams and springs and UTEC.

Yep, he is really busy. Told me he had worked 14 days straight 12 hour days and that was last Saturday.

I just visited Function Tuned today. Dave is always on top of things. He worked till 9am this morning to try to finish up an install to meet a deadline. He took a nap and he was up and working again this afternoon! I don't think I can be that dedicated to meeting my clients' needs.

It's all about those little NOS energy drinks. They keep Dave going for those 14 hour days.

Dave is definitely the person to see for performance mods done thoroughly. He stayed late a few days last winter when I was having FI installed on my car just to have it done in time for a meet we had all put together. In addition, he squeezed me into his insane schedule to have axles installed in my car so that I could make track day back in May. I"ll definitely be back for anything Z related.

Daves dedication to the Mid A Z/G crowd is 2nd to none. It never ceases to amaze me how Dave goes above and beyound for his customers and not just certain ones either every customer is treated the same care and respect.
