He finished the origional build and tune about 4 months ago. I drove it to VA beach and then asked him to do more (modified the turbo housings then slight modifications to the tune). It was finished again about 30 days later. Drove it a little bit...put about 800 miles on it through the mountains in PA to upstate NY doing some higher speed runs late at night and then off I went to NYC then to Vegas.

Ace of hearts. Im sure the rally stickers will stay on for a while. I kinda like them. And the road rash from the driving gives it character.

My bad, I knew it was red, not sure why I said spades. The graphics does make it look badass, seing your car, then seeing Brents, then seeing Mikes, made me pull the trigger with Justin.

When is the show gonna air?

They say the show will air at the end of october. Im working on getting the nearly 1000 pics we have from the trip hosted for you guys and gals to view. We also have a few videos as well. One of which is the "Bacardi bus" that the Race track owner in Hastings Nebraska was so nice to race around the track with us after doing a few shots of 151! hahaha. What a trip is all I have to say...One of the best runs yet for sure.

This is sick work. Cars built to these extremes dont usually survive long hard trips like this without some tuning issues, mechanical failures, overheating, etc, etc.

Having seen Nowell do it on a stock block and make it through the Rally, and you buillt, its obvious Dave knows how to keep the cars together. Well done.

How many miles on the motor now?

On the built motor just driving (not including the countless pulls on the dyno and street tuning) I just breached the 5K mark... and it runs awesome. It was flawless no matter what I threw at it.

I had expected some minor issues especially running into the extreme elevations, heat, and crap gas so I had the car set-up on a remote access VNC through a wireless broadband card and the Autronic was connected directly to the CarPC to allow Dave to tune from his computer at the shop while I was basically anywhere. We tested it before I left and there was a slight delay, but nothing to the point where minor changes couldn't be made. Fortunately though it wasn't needed at any point in time and it ran extremely strong no matter what the elevation or temperature.

Keep in mind the final tune on the car was done in MUCH colder temps at the end of the winter when it was 0 C (32 F).

Ahhh, the pictures. They're coming soon enough. Unfortunately going through the nearly 1000 that just we have is quite time consuming.

Join the AKA Rally boards (www.AKARally.com) and check some of the others out. The stories are now being posted as well as MANY of the pictures that go with them. Some of them are absolutely hilarious. Everything from getting the M5's stuck up to the frame rails in the desert to decorating the Ducati with pink and white handlebar tassels, horns, and a cute basket. hahaha

I've heard that but never tried it. Usually had to go with "hair of the dog" cure.

HAHAHA. It was an oxygen bar. We heard the stories and happened across one on Freemont St in "Old Vegas"...so...while waiting for the light show we decided to try it out. It came with a massage as well.

My review is....The massage...worth it. The Oxygen...well...you smell the scents they put in it for the next day or 2. lol

I have to second Robbie's report. He drove the **** out of that car on the streets for 3,000 miles AND beat the crap out of it on the track. It pulled hard, hung with all the BMW M5's, and took the crap gas, altitude and then 110+ degree desert heat and did awesome.

If he had not gone just a little bit overboard for the SPEED TV cameras on the last night of shooting.... The car would still be rocking hard.

We had a great time and I encourage anyone that likes to drive, and party to sign up for next year!
