Default Mid-A opion?

So some of you may know some may not, but i have ben sourcing up parts for an ls swap in the z. 6 weeks ago i found an ls2 engine, tranny, ecu and all the odds and ends to it for a hell of a deal. Well today i found out why it was a hell of a deal. I took it to a local shop that had a engine dyno to see what it had and to see where id be sitting before i put the engine in the z.The shop calls today and says (hey man you have a big problem) i was like ooh shat..So i go down today, and the guy says here is your sheet i looked peak hp at the fly wheel was 248 he then goes on to say they did a compression test and cylinder's 2,3,5 were reading below allowed specs so i took it home quick tore the heads off and looked to find #2 had chunk of a vale melted to the piston,#3 the top piston ring was missing, and #5 the only thing i could think was the valve was bent.

I bought the engine from a private seller as is so im fawked on tryin to get my money back, and now i have a blown ls2 that idk what to do with i want the ls in the z but from just doing a quick search and call to summit to rebuild it will be a chunck of change.
I also recently bought a procharger in hopes of putting it on the vq and putting the vq in a 240 once the ls swap was finished.

What should i do
1.cut my losses part what is good on the ls and sell it on ebay?
2.sell the procharger and sell the vq engine and tranny then rebuild the ls?
3.put the procharger on the z and have fun?

any other ideas are welcome

Sell the LS2 as a private seller to another dummy, use that money to rebuilt the VQ and procharge it and be done with it. I know it sounds terrible. But someone's trash is someone else's treasure.

i would go with the rebuilt LS only because you started this cuz of the fact not too many people are running a LS in their Z.

How about adjust your timetable for your build and keep all of your previous goals. Definately do not pass off the engine to another innocent party, karma will come around and bite you there. IMHO.

true but i dont want to throw another 4k into a rebuild....

CASS07 I wouldnt try selling this engine as a perfect condition eng im pissed that it was sold to me as that and ended up the way it is. i think im going to sit on this ans scoutaround there are a couple hot rod shops here in town im going to get the best price for a rebuild kit.

sell all of them, everything. Put a down payment of a gtr. Buy a beater for the wait time, get the GTR. Perfection that you won't have to meddle with! And that knocks off the goal of rarity in a vehicle.
Orrr I guess continue with the money pit...

i would do like cass007 said....maybe this pushes back your goal to another year, but it was YOUR GOAL its something you really wanted to do, so just keep doing it...maybe get the pieces to rebuild bit by bit. or find some idiot that wrecked theres and yank the good engine out and maybe grab a part or 2. see if there are salvaged engines out there, the LS2 in the z is a awesome accomplishment so you should continue on that path, even if it means pushing it back.
