just continue with your goals. get your "self satisfaction" out of accomplishing what you set out to do.

why go crazy, just find some OEM stock internals, new or used should be fine, I would rebuilt it knowing that stock in the engine is still way more than a stock VQ and its still easily more powerful with simple bolt-ons and a tune.

I suggest searching for used or new OEM parts to rebuild it and get back to it!

if you really do plan on going the whole nine yards, ask Noah first on how much it actually costs. It's easy to say "I'm going to buy a motor/hardware and throw it in" but most people don't factor in "misc. costs." Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe his bill was well over 20k for the swap and fabrication.

Correct... and that's with a lot of sponsorships, connections, etc.

so im not to sure yet but my dad and i was talking about just procharging the z again, and then rebuilding the ls motor but with low compression and throwing a procharger on it and dropping it into a trans am that me and him bought 3 years ago that needs a new engine and tranny here is what the trans am looks like.
not sure if this is the route i want to go with but could be possible.

Default MADE UP MY MIND!!!!!

So i have decided what route im taking with the car. Im done wasting money on the car although it is fun.Plus my gf /fiance is in a lil bit of a bind with her current vehicle so i gotta help her out but, the plan is
1.sell the procharger kit(look for it in the FS section it will be cheap)
2.sell the crapped out ls2 i have sitting and rest of parts i already have a local buyer!
3.give the z to my father as a christmas present at a hell of a steal as he calls it. He loves it and so does my mother.plus they desrve it with everything i have put them through.
4.in the spring buy a ls2 gto and throw some type of boost to it
And then im done with cars im going back to racing motorcross as my hobby.
So again ill be listing up the procharger and parts i have to go with it in a couple days.

Sounds like a solid plan. I was about to say what I would do but I voted so I'm str-8 I do wish you the best on your future endeavors. I think the LS1 in the z would have been wild.

The LS2 GTO is a pretty nice car, honestly. A bit heavy but with the Pedder's suspension and some stickier tires it'll move around a tight course pretty damn good!

Watch out for the front strut bushings, though.

I hear what you saying. In the end though if it something you really way it's going to take some time. I know I have been working on my Z for a while now, pricing parts the whole 9, I know once I get it to where I want it I'll be pleased with the work I put into it. I'm big on self satification (I know this is spelled all wrong but what the hell you know what I mean).
