Default halloween plan?

So it's my first year in DC, just wondering where I should go. I made a costume already (i'm a red crayon, lol), so i need to go somewhere costume friendly. I heard about a bunch of things including: Nightmare on M St., Georgetown's M St., and the Hard Rock Cafe as well.

Are all these places fine/good spots to go tonight, or should i lean towards one or the other?

Thanks

M Street was pretty crazy last night. The lines were so long at some place so we just went to Camelot then Adams Morgan. Wasn't bad but could have been better...
