I don't think it matters what kind of rims you had. Damage is damage. You go fast enough, your rim will break if you hit a curb.

Now if you broke your rims by parking into a curb....lol..then you got some bad rims.

could have been worse.

 

The cheap, cast wheels didn't just bend, they disintegrated.

 

yea, but look at the car, it looks like it's been rolled a few times. My car is pretty much undamaged.
