Polishing my hood?
Anyone here have any polishing experience with a polisher?
I am looking to borrow a polisher OR have someone that has a polisher to bring it by to help me polish the scratches off my CF hood from Wet sanding it. I will buy whatever pads needed and materials for the polisher if you have one and can bring it by. Let me know!

Pohanka Acura is having a special "ULTRA DETAIL" for any car for $109. That's 50% off regular price! Full detail/wash/wax inside and outside for this week only. Want me to e-mail you the special coupon? Spend $30 bucks and a few hours to polish your hood yourself.. or spend $70 more and get your hood + entire car polished

Besides, there is a feeling of accomplishment when you do something to your car to make it look better.
I have tried using a claybar, polishing compound, waxes, different polishes, and buffing. Nothing works! I need a "Polishing Machine" with a polishing compound to do the job. I know somebody around here must have a polisher and be able to help me out!

Just a bit of information. A "polisher" is not going to take out wet sanding marks. What you are talking about is a rotary buffer aka:
If it were an experienced detailer I'd suggest Meguiars M105 and a wool pad but from the sounds of it you'd burn the clear coat.

^100% Troof! I took my car to a guy who owns a local carwash that buffed out some small scratches on my hood. So he tells me that for $100 he'd buff out the entire car and that a black car needs this at least once a year to protect the paint. Not knowing any better [and since he did hook up my hood] I let him do it and this a$$hole put burn marks in several places on my car . Be careful if you decide to get this done....

You can easily find a person in your area to get those swirls out and for a lot cheaper then a shop would do.
