Default To get Headers or Not to get headers????

So I did some searching and found nothing so I'll ask.

1. What brand headers are good (as far as gains)
2. Is there a set that is easier to install than another?
3.Is it worth it?
4. or should I just get some HFCs and call it a day and get another part.

Im really looking for just some bolt ons right now, not sure if Im gonna go FI but the thought is there. I've seen folks say headers is a waste of money and some say they are the best thing ever. Any help would be cool.

Unless you're planning on going supercharged, getting headers is a waste of money. It does make the car sound very aggressive though

depends if they're longtube (xerd/crawford) or short-length (strup, topspeed) etc.

Longtube headers tend to yield you an extra 2-3 more whp and take twice as long to install.

Might want to look into heat wrapping or jethot coating them while you're at it.

But as far as worth it? Wouldn't even waste my time nor my dollar unless you're going "allz out JDM supercharged poowwaa!" (minus the Stillen charger, they actually require u to use stock headers) or if you're going for the super duper N/A to the hardcore max WHP w/o FI... but u'll still get whooped by a stock 370z or even a stock 07' HR.

No. I have just about every bolt on except for cams. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't bother with headers.

Yes, pick another part other than headers.

If you are going to get headers I thing Dave@functiontuned offers strup headers and install for less than $800. I heard the mid-range and sound improves.

headers are only worth it with supercharger setup, otherwise total waste and ***** to install.

I love my headers, definitely saw significant gains in the midrange. Its your money so you have to decide if its worth it or not. I have almost all the N/A mods there are and my car is really fun to drive. Pretty damn quick too for being NA too. But if you plan on staying NA definitely change out your final drive, it's a whole new car after that. My NA 350z surprises a lot of cars with more power, Joe (NX2KDET) can vouch for that lol by the way Joe you need to upload that video on youtube!

Not sure if headers are worthwhile? Why don't you guys race with us? We can race 350Z no-headers against 350Z with headers.

https://my350z.com/forum/mid-atlanti...ty-thread.html

We’ll see if headers are worthwhile.

I can cosign on some of this. I would get a set of long tube Xerd headers from ebay . They welds are good and I love mine but I am also FI. Its not mandatory for you to pay a but load of money for a set IMO. As for jet coating and heat wrapping.. From what I heard if you want to burn out your headers quick (i.e. welds, etc.) this is a perfect way to f them up with heat wrap, since it retains heat onto the header and traps mositure. As for the FI portion, I will endorse that.
