Despite a one week delay and a copycat cruse, turnout was excellent. Could not have asked for better weather. Traffic was light. Appreciate everyone who made this a success. We will do it again in the fall.

You know, that was so funny to see that guy (Chris?) in the G35 sedan do that. When I'm up on the Mountain by myself I'll pretty much come to a stop and wait for traffic to clear so that I can actually enjoy the curves....glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks like that! haha

Yep!! He got the hang of it quick, and he had a radar detector!
We've designated him now!!

Ironically when we (the va beach group) left, it was ***** to the wall wide open driving with no one in front of us. Prob the best part of the whole drive. I was wore the F' out by time i got home! (At 8 pm!! )

Very true on the way back it was just me(white cf skirts) and Cris(blue car with volks) and we were quick learners and started to stop to enjoy the ride, but then we just started double teaming and just passing cars/bikes/bicycles o man that ride was so much fun.
Best 15$$dollars (Entrance fee) I've ever spend

O. I meant to mention this. So i left Skyland (went doen the 211 mountain to my moms house in warrenton) and somewhere between Skyland and 211 I came around a curve to be greeted by a ranger who hit me with instant on like the state boys! Luckily I was behind a car and we were only doing 40 mph. So be careful up there, no detector can beat instant on.

That was right after I said enough and dropped off to just cruise the rest of the way to the next stop. I came around the turn and saw her taking pics and thought to my self, I bet those guys scared the living **** out of her. Guess I was right….lol

I just installed new OEM brembo pads and had already bedded them in before the trip. I didn’t experience any fade and they were biting excellent the whole trip.

That seems to be the main benefit of the Brembos. Stopping difference is only 5 feet more then non-Brembo in a straight line (on the 2003s at least). But they don't suffer the fade like non-brembos. I upgraded to 2006+ non Brembos on my 2003 and it was night and day!!!

How much more stopping distance is there in a radius then a stright line? (brembo vs 06+ non brembo)
