Default Old Mid-A, New Mid-A?

Is it my imagination or did there used to be a large crew of old timers around that suddenly fell the **** off in the Mid-A? I remember meeting a bunch of folks at the Haverty Meet in Columbia that one summer and I swear I've never heard from them again. I see Alberto still posts sometimes, but there were a bunch of others [e.g. Mid-A-Mamma, some Latin dude that had silver Z, I think some dude named Bryce or Bam-Bam and a bunch of others].
What happened to the original Mid-A and why don't they show up to anything anymore?

Or they got old, sold their cars, got married *cough*umzzz*cough*, or had kids and couldn't make it out to the meets anymore! Some got themselves psycho-possessive girlfriends who restrict them to step off the property in fear of losing their "family jewels" Mariana Bobbit style unexpectedly in the middle of the night.. Some just got bored of modding since they've been in the scene for too long (usually lasts 3 yrs tops before people go onto another platform.. actually hell... I'm about to take this plunge *yikes*) Other factors include: The economy taking a dump, no one has any money to mod thus it'll get boring quick... oil prices on the rise so people didn't feel like paying $5/gallon nor going out to meets... given that it's a lot less now per gallon but the damage had already been done!

LOL, I'll still be around! No other forums compare to the Mid-A, or at least all the ones Ive been to.
I still have to complete the build, dump in $100k+, max the chit out, and then sell it right after! (I hear that's the cool thing to do!) Muahaha

I'm like an in between old-timer and new-timer. I know exactly what you mean. Most of the old-timers are gone or are no longer active for different reasons. Cool thing is you'll pretty much see everyone when Function Tuned has a BBQ meet except for Bryce

Come to think of it, someone from the old Mid-A did tip off SWAT and they raided Anh's home and DISRESPECTED HIS FAMILY!!!

GTR = Overrated, what I'm gettin is a track-tested GTR spankin machine! Then again... in a few years, no other car beats the power/price/performance per dollar of a GTR

Old Mid-A was the fawking best...

Everybody knew each other, we all partied often and always had good times. Even DavidV went drinking with us.

Since the price of these cars came down, the younger, dumber (AAM rocks!), more annoying crowd moved in and formed their "clicks" and to be honest reading the same garbage over and over just got old. I know I dont speak for myself when I say all of this...

Take it for what its worth, no offense if you're new, as I have met nice new people, Russ comes to mind at the moment.

This summer Im bringing back the old Mid-A. Meeting locaton will not be posted, the bar we go to will not be posted, I will post a date and time and if you know, you know

I've been on this forum for years, but I haven't hung out with any particular group too often. Stock is no fun, but resale value and reliability is great
