Default Jonflip n' MzBernadette's Project S13 SR20 Build Thread **Lots of Pictures**

My girlfriend and I just recently picked up 2 S13s. A 90 hatch with a KA24E that runs with a damaged body, and a 92 hatch with a KA24DE that doesn't run with a good body. We are keeping the 92 and will be parting off the DE motor and will be selling the 90 as is. I'm slowly researching more and more about these 240s. I don't know much technical information about this car yet but any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. So, I'll the pictures from when we picked the cars up. Oh yea, these are her cars by the way.

On our way to pick up the first 240 all the way in bum f*ck Culpepper.

The house on the side of the road where we picked it up from.

Where it sat.

Got her driving it home...Yup hot ballin' with no tag or insurance. LOL.

The next day I decide to take a few pictures and give it a look over.

As you can see, there was a bit too much body damage for me to handle right now.
So I got back on craigslist and found another 240 that same day with a better body but the motor was seized up.

So the next day we made a change in platforms, we picked this one up too. Went home and grabbed the Titan and a Uhaul trailer to bring it home from Silver Spring MD.

The way the guy's driveway was slanted and how the car sat, we needed more room to maneuver.

One try was all we had...and yup, I got that joint.

She was soo EXCITED about her new baby.

Got it all the way back to my job in Chantilly behind the shop.

So then there were two. Oh don't mind my FC in the picture

I did a little testing here and there to see if the motor could be revived...but no dice. So I decided it needed to go. I start to tear little things out of the way so we can get the it pulled.

This damn connector was kicking my @$$ so I moved along. LOL.

We liked the seats in the black one better than the red one, so we swapped the seats out.

And so...thats all we have for today. I will continue to pull the motor out probably this weekend if the weather permits me. Also, we just sold the black 240 to a friend of mine. He was soo hyped about getting another 240. I'm glad we got the money back and hes happy with his new project. Thanks for checking out the build, stay tuned for more updates.

Im sure taking care of the car is a great way to find a hobby... but why go through the hassle when you have perfectly good looking and running 240sx for less than 5k??

The other day I saw a 97 Kouki. Breathtaking looking and sounding. For 6k!!!

I wish I had a dealer just to own a bunch of these cars under 1 insurance LOL

find a hobby? We wanted a project car that we could work on together and that had a good base to work off of...Its more than taking care of a car. Sure you could buy a running, good looking 240 for less than 5k or an already built car for a little more..but puttin in all this time, effort and work is something that we wanted to do and after its all done we'll be able to appreciate it more. Its a big project but how many people can say "my boyfriend and I" or "my girlfriend and I" built this car together. Its a big project that we have our hands on but it'll all well b worth it in the end.
We should be getting the motor on the week of June 15th and from there it'll be overhaulin time

I think I expressed myself wrong. I meant that working on cars is a great hobby (or profession if you work for money )

I just thought that there were better platforms out there for 240sx's

I don't know if the factory Z seats will bolt right in, but if RX8 seats can fit in my RX7...then its possible. your donation will be greatly appreciated.
