ipods are computer specific, they re-sync with new computers, (laymans terms) it will only contain the songs the computer has, example....my computer has over 12k songs, many types of music, my sisters has mabe 1k all country, i tried to move my songs to her computer since hers is more accessible with my ipod, and when i hooked it up, it syncronized to her library, it deleted all my **** and added all hers, you will have to move all your music over with a thumb drive or external HD, PITA but thats itunes, hope that helps
^wrong, dont use itunes, just explore files on ipod-XXXXXX-IP(XXX is ipods title). right click explore>ipod controls>Music>F0X(will contain music on IPOD) then transfer all those files into a folder (let say music in personal folder), when itune is launch it will say you dont have certain songs, and will give you an option to load a library hence the copied files. it might wipe the ipod first but you will have a copy on the HD, however it will be hard to launch specific songs without itune and the filing system
