I just picked up another rear stand for my bike, did the oil and took it out for a spin.

I have an extra rear stand if anyone needs one. Make me an offer.

Don't worry woody, I'll be way in front of him when he wrecks his 3rd bike. He only wishes he could keep up.

 

So no one can answer my LSD question? I jacked up the rear of the car by the diff today to try and get an aswer, and I KNOW I have an open diff, but when I spun one wheel front or back, the other side didn't move. And I did both driver's and passenger's side too. Hmmmmft...

it didnt move because its open... if it was a LSD the other side would spin. Did you know if you have an open diff you can drive with one axle lol

Nah, it moves both sides, because I've been able to spin different sides of the wheels before. And no, it should move when you have the pumpkin off the car too, front or back. when you move one side, the other side should also move. now it depends on which way it moves.

I always thought that (if it's a LSD) when you spin one side back the other side should go front, and this makes sense because if you spin the driveshaft mount, both axle mounts should spin the same way. hmmmm...

An LSD is not a locked rear end, both sides can move independently form each other.

I'm pretty sure they should both turn in the same direction. Can you hold one still and rotate the other one Forcing it to spin only one?

It is not a spools type rear stand, it uses 2 L brackets with a rubber cover to grab the swingarm and lift the bike. One of the rubber things has a tar in it but it works just fine. Zero issues with it.

I switched to a high end spools type rear stand. What's the biggest difference other then better build quality and spools option? over twice the cost =(

I think I paid $79 for the lockhart phillips. Come check it out, see if it works with your bike and if you want it just make me an offer.

 

Sounds like he has a random rear end (non human) in his garage and he wants to know if it has an LSD or not.

I do have a base, and it does have an open diff. And I want to change that...
I have found two OEM pupmpkins and one is set up where both axles spin both directions same time, and the other spins opposite directions same time. I need to find out which one is the LSD so I can buy it...
