They actually ARE really good brakes.
The main reason I replaced my whole setup is because my rotors got warped from hitting backroads so hard hahaha and I wanted to upgrade anyways. So that's the main reason, otherwise I would have just done slotted rotors, lines, upgraded pads, and new fluid. Z1 has a pretty sick kit for inexpensive that I was looking at:

One thing that always 'grinds my gears' is people who spend thousands on new wheel/tire packages just so you can show off your rusty old rotors. I upgraded to Stop-Tech rotors and steel lines mostly for the added performance but the looks as well. Unless you track on the regular or drive like Ahn you probably won't need a BBK....just my 0.2.

I simply just wanna upgrade my rotors, brakes, and lines.. But while the calipers are off, i was just gonna go ahead and paint them.. either black or silver.. since red doesnt match anything on my car.

Thank you...This i'm very aware of. on the s2000 the stock calipers are Perfectly fine and stop very well around the track...

I'd go for the slotted rotors if you do. I've heard drilled [even though they look cool] have a tendency to crack/shear[?] under pressure. I wanted painted calipers so bad, but unfortunately I'm too broke to be a baller....:0(

I thought either drilled OR slotted is the way to go. When you start doing both I thought thats when you start running into the sheering/cracking problem
