I am not a big fan of hawk pads, but that will work. The HP+ are noisy and dust A LOT. The HPS are ok for street duty. The ultimates that come with the stage 2 are a middle ground b/w the two, but they dust even more than the HP+'s.

If the deal is you have to get the Hawks.....I'd just get the HPS's. They are fine for Street duty and occasional drag racing.

Slotted is fine....just don't get cross drilled. Far more prone to cracking/failure.

Well.....It becomes a budget issue. I have some proprietary front pads for my stoptechs that I haven't run yet, but are supposed to be stellar. Only thing is they cost $365 for just the front pair. I am partial to Carbotech. They make some great track pads, and their street pad (the bobcat I think) is also supposed to be very good. I have also heard some really good things about the new Stoptech pads, which are available for our stock brakes, but haven't used them yet. They are supposed to be able to handle track abuse (hpde) as well.....up to an intermediate. Also, they are reasonable priced.

StopTech Street Performance brake pads are StopTech's newest formulation, offering an unusual combination of high bite, low noise, and extremely wide temperature range, making them ideal as "dual use" street to medium track pads. These are the standard brake pads for StopTech's big brake upgrades and have recently become available for many OEM applications. These are Zeckhausen Racing's new preferred high performance street pads.

You should also consider getting stainless lines and a good fluid. With the 06+ brakes, good pads, stainless lines, and a high temp fluid you should be set for a while.

yeah Z1 has all the lines and fluid included with the price but you get the X drilled and slotted rotors as with the other vender I think its just the stoptech slotted rotors and hawk pads. Im sure they have a kit with the lines and fluid though. Im waiting to hear back a response from them to get prices for everything and im possibly going to buy that set up.

I upgraded to STOP-Tech slotted rotors and steel lines last year, can't complain about them at all. Never had an issue with them.
