My girlfriend owns a house in richmond so we decided to go down and hit up some bars etc. Packed up the car and started rolling down. Made good time getting there. On the way back it took me 2.5 hours to go 40 miles due to some accident on 95. It sucked hardcore. I shouldve taken a picture of the trip computer. Anyone else get stuck in this?

i didnt even get to see carnage because it was cleaned up by the time I got there. Anyone know what happened?

I made a short list of cars I saw:

Yellow Z going southbound with black rims. I was jealous you could drive over 4 mph mile marker 118

Black convertible girl driving on cell phone entire time

CS stock going southbound mile marker 120

White Z stock at pho saigon in laurel when I finally got home 4 hours later.

ugh, I didnt even want to drive my car today.

Yep I was with you man. We were in the Jetta...took us about 2.5 to 3 hours to get back. Sunday are always bad, but because this was the first sunny weekend in a few weeks....the added traffic was in full effect!


I usually will get up at the crack of dizzawn to come back or wait until 10pm to leave Richmond. Leaving at 9 still has traffic, hell even at 10 there is traffic but at least it moves....I95N on a Sunday FTL.

took 45 minutes on Saturday around 1pm to go from the mixing bowl to S.Vandorn St. FTL with no AC in the G...now that sucked.

 

I used to hate VA traffic when I traveled there for work

This is why I live in MD and avoid VA at all costs. ;-)

 

yeah. I try to stay my *** this side of the border but the GF likes to go down to richmond periodically. I brave the border crossing to keep her happy.

 

Try taking route 1 to avoid all that traffic, it goes up north toward MD

 

Rte 1 also had an accident on it and the exit was backed up worse because no one knew about it and was trying to get off there. it was just a nightmare all around.
