start off low and work your way up. or you can take your chance with a 1000+ cc, i mean whats the worst that could happen right? injury or death.

dude buy an old ******* bike like a 250-500c range. And you can f#ck around with it and have no worries. Drop it, wheelie it, what ever. You could get a 600 and be too afraid to push it to its potential because you don't wanna damage it. You prob would be fine with a 600 or 750cc bike, but you would be worried about messing it up all the time. Get the old bike, have fun and learn, then trade up for a nice 600 or 750 or whatever. You will have a better time on your 600 with the confidence you gain by having the older bike first. This is your best bet in my opinion

Most people whop start on SS bikes never learn how to properly ride in corners. The learning curve is too steep.

Grab an SV650 N or S, a Suzuki 500, or a Ninja 650

After 1 year you will be wayyyyyy betteer than your buddy on his R6 and the 3" chicken strips.

BTW-post a pic of your buddies rear tire

allot of riders though only use their bikes though as a road vehicle and dont even have a desire to learn to ride to the limit

I'd def choose the Ninja 650 over those other two. Just going by looks though. I've been riding ATVs my whole life but have never got on a street bike. Sold my Banshee about a year ago.

Edit: Even the Ninja 250 seems like a great starter bike.

Thanks Barn..lol

As for everyone who has helped out and gave advice thanks, and for the people selling the bikes what kind and how much?

Starting of with a 250 seems like the best ideal choice so I wont be afraid to mess it up, but for me I just want to get it to use it as a commuter bike at first..lol
