Correct me if I'm wrong but speeding tix, running a stop sign, and other moving violations are cleared from your record after 3 years if you behave, right? That's here in VA, I believe.

Actually, I just went to the VA DMV site and they must have changed the law. Speeding violations stay on your record for 5 years (instead of 3) while other minor moving violations are on your record for 3 years. Doh!

Guys I can run a rate for you all if you'd like to see what I would come in with. the more of the following factors you have, the more competetive we are with the rates: college educated, homeowner, multi-car owner, and/or married. I'm Omar, you can reach me at 301-881-9300, 51557. I will look out for my fellow Z'ers

^ tis true. we give the good student discount for those under 25 who carry a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Once you turn 25, the name changes to College Education Discount which continues to have a significant impact on the rate.

I worked for Liberty and they are a quality company, however, rates are often uncompetitive with many other insurers. If anyone here is looking for car insurance, please note the details in the tutorial I stated on the first page of this thread.

I really love my agent and the service couldnt be better, but if the rate is significantly better elsewhere I might have to cheat on her.

I worked for Liberty about two years ago. I was with one of their SBUs- not the car insurance side. I did a lot of consulting work with Ted Kelley. It is a fine company with high A.M. Best and S&P ratings. Liberty would be a good fit for those who wish to maintain an "agent-style" relationship and have favorable underwriting factors. For much of the non-standard business, I haven't seen the rates to be competitive.
