no way it should be over 100 and thats on the high side.
Unless there is other stuff broken??
Couldn't agree more! I had two dealers tell me it was mandatory 1.5 hr job and that was the cost to re-lube the axles. After reading more about this it sounds like it's more than just relubing the axles. Sounds like you need bolts, washers and nuts to fix it...who knows!

give frank at hills garage a call he can tell you exactly what it needs and has done a ton of them
Frank Hill had a reasonable price to do it. 75-100 I think... I cant really remember if that was per side or for both. Either way its cheaper than $300. I watched him do it and it looked fairly straight forward. There is a DIY in the section on this forum too. i think if you can do brakes you can do this....

How long ago did he do yours? Has it came back at all? Is he in MD, if so it may be worth the drive for me. However, I have no problem doing brakes and such on my car..just wasn't sure if I needed a lift.

Hills Garage is in baltimore. I find the address (or see barneys signature)
And I had mine done 25000-30000 miles ago. I thought it had come back but it ended up my SPC endlinks. I think combination of salt, sand and the Hotchkis sways left them needing some TLC. But I havent heard it come back. Some people have had it come back. Ive also heard of people hitting that center axle bolt with an impact wrench and that got rid of it for a while. Over all I think its worth the money to have them done
I sent hills a message and it looks like its around $100 if thats all it needs. Apparently there is some other stuff that could be wrong so it may end up being more. Just give Frank a call.
