I used to have a similar plate back when i was a D'bag ricer punk kid fresh outta high school. I would have cops trailing me just waiting for me to do something dumb. Needless to say the plate went bye bye shortly after.

I have yet to get a ticket in the supra, the 350z is another story...he is supposed to get "UFAILI6" on his for when we go to carshows and stuff.
Luckily im not a ricer, nore am i fresh out of highschool, Im just your friendly neighborhood accountant who enjoys his cars
Ive never had problems with any of my vanity tags but then again i dont speed and havent for a while so thats probably it.
as for the stock wheels the fronts are stock the rears are fd rx7 wheels with mickey thompsons, kind of an all business no show kind of car.

The Mickey T's are Drag radials not full slicks. He drives in the rain with them too. And i do also with Hoosiers on the back of my car.

but yea ive even driven my car in the snow, no problems as long as you use caution. the whole tire cost thing isnt really a big deal as i dont have a car payment and carry liability. its well worth it imo the car is like a night and day difference.
