^ Sure, we can all meet up in VA and caravan down together. It's only fun driving down w/ other ricers on the road. I've driven a straight 9hr trip before, fun stuff! Just remember to bring walkie talkies. Who has radar detectors?

PS. yes, I'll be tackling the Dragon in the Subaru. I wanna see how it'll hold up pacing a bunch of Zs.

 

I'll be getting a radar detector since here in VA I can't use one.

The walkie talkies need to be compatabiles, mine is old but has two bands or channels.

 

you can get 2 mile walkie talkies with like 16 channels for like $30 nowadays ill have to be sure to pick up a set before this.

^ pick up an expensive set, it'll save you trouble of dealing w/ all the static of the cheap ones. Or you can get them on ebay, they're extra cheap there.

I'm going to try and make it if the car is ever fully ready. Is anyone going to hit the airstrip on the way down, or are you just going straight to the resort? I would like to caravan, but may have to solo if I'm the only one hitting the airstrip.

 

What is the date of the airstrip event? I'd be down for a side trip even if others aren't.

Its normally right before ZdayZ, so I would guess 5/20/10. I believe Sharif may be doing something a bit more formal this year, so I will PM him when the time gets a bit closer. My understanding is that most people stay at a separate place near the airstrip for the night since its a few hours away from Fontana Village.

 

If the MidA Crew could get a good caravan, this would be pretty SWEET

 

According to the event thread for zdayz.....this is going to be integrated into the schedule of events.....which will be cool. Also, rcdash is saying there will be an NA event......................I'll be in it to win it . Anyway, let me know what sharif has in mind, but I am most definitely down for this event.
