Thought some might be interested. These are high performance karts that reach speeds of at least 50 mph. Great bunch of guys that run it too.

SPK Championship League

As the racing season is winding down, SPK is ramping things up by offering its first karting league. The SPK Championship League is scheduled to launch October 25th and complete by December 6th. This is the first of several series being planned. Youth schools and leagues will start in February.

The first SPK league will consist of six dates. Each of these dates will offer a practice/qualify session, and three heat races. SPK membership will be required. Each league member will receive a series shirt, a league license, and three sessions to bring three different friends to SPK for impromptu practice. All League members are invited to reserve practice time for themselves and friends at a group rate.

Points will be given for each finishing position. A champion will be determined at the end of the series. The four lowest finishing positions will be dropped to calculate final points for each driver.

Steps will be taken to balance the field. Adding weight to the karts is not possible at this time. We will make other provisions to level the field for all drivers involved.

All race starts will be standing.

Events will be run rain or shine. Decision to cancel or move to a rain date will be decided before noon that day and announced on our website or by similar digital means.
