Default My Saturday Went Like This.......

*UPDATE- ID BE WILLING TO POLISH ANYONE ELSES PLENUM, AS I'VE BEEN REQUESTED BY A FEW OTHER MEMBERS. IF I HAVE ONE ALREADY DONE I CAN TRADE FOR YOUR STOCK + CASH, OR JUST GIVE ME YOURS FOR A WEEK AND I CAN GET IT DONE. JUST PM ME IF YOUR INTERESTED AND WE CAN WORK OUT A DEAL.

Just spent my whole day doing a little customizing. Thought i'd share.

Day started at about 7:45 and spent till about 7:00 at night, doing a little work on my buddys explorer, installing and wiring up the whole truck for his bag set-up, and subwoofers. still working on mounting the rest of the t.v.'s. As for the z, i installed my greddy strut bar, and polished my upper plenum. (humongous pain in the azz!!!!) Now waiting on $$ so i can order my MRev2 and plenum spacer. Here is some pics, Let me know what you guys think.

Before the strut bar:

After strut bar:

Before i started polishing:

About 2 and a half hours into it:

About 7 hours into it:

And finished:

-Most likely going to sand a little more, a couple spots that arent perfect, and my o.c.d is getting to me. Pretty happy with the results so far though.

Heres a few pics of what we did to my buddys explorer:

Under the box wiring:

Thanks for looking
Rob

YOu just used a cookie on it? or did you use some sort of compound to make it shiney?

thanks barny.

chen- i used many things, haha. had to start by making the surface smooth, i used a d.a. to start (with 180 grit) along with a d.a. for small areas. then once all the rough spots were smooth, it was a series of sanding, from 180 to 2500 grit (and everything in between) then buffed with a compound to polish her up to the mirror finish.

steez33- i wish i had pics of all the trucks weve done. everything from s-10's to rangers, we did my buddys s-10, built everything from scratch except the body and bed, which we chop topped and shaved everything. built full frame, with a 350 in it w/ cams etc. turned out sick.

ajcool- u have a pm
