It really depends on how long it takes. They charge by the hour of dyno time. My re-tune was 250.

FMIC cost + retune cost for what you got is so so IMO, but its not my car.

Your turbo will last longer this way at least, not pushing it to its peak on spike in the midrange. That is without a doubt a good thing.
Yes I understand peak boost but im saying im peaking 16 psi with the new tune compared to the 21 peak from the last tune and still putting more power down. Not only more peak power but holding power in the upper rpm's.

If you compare the two from about 4800-6600 rpm my new tune holds about 315-324whp the entire time, my old tune peaked at 318whp and tapers down to around 270whp by 6600 rpm. That new power band is worth a good bit to me considering what it pulled like before in that range.

I know what you mean about being cost effective but i'd wait to judge that on what the car does on higher boost. I mean more boost is more power and I feel theres a bit more to gain yet.

I was told FP red's don't fit right for some reason. Who built the car? IAG, Andrewtech, Agile?

Fp in genereal has had fitment issues from what a couple shops have told me. I heard Fp will replace the turbo if it has a defect from the factory though. I helped my buddy put his Fp big 16g on and it was a flawless installation. Some people just get bad ones I guess

^^ ya its a shame he got into a crash last wednesday, sandwiched. Most of the damage was in the rear and apparently its too much for insurance to cover and it might be totaled. ;'[ Hes gone through so much with the car its a shame. Hes even on his 2nd motor build. Hopefully we can get the swap into a gc8 impreza... lets just hope

Thats the thing, the biggest turbo for the car without going rotated. The size may cause the fitment issue(s) but who knows. If the car is totaled atleast take the motor out!!!
