Don't go to Maryland Pasport Nissan. They will turn you down when they see you have any after market product on.

stay away from darcars nissan in gaithersburg. it's a new dealership and they're still "learning the ropes". my friend who used to work there, said verbatim, "the service guys back there have no idea what they're doing". he works at browns in va. and says they run a pretty tight ship there.

Yeah, Passport Nissan Marlow Heights is a joke. Now I know their is no difference in sales dept and service dept there. Same goes for Darcars.

Anyone have experience w/ Rosenthal Gaithersburg Nissan, Herb Gordon Nissan, Tischer Nissan Laurel or Antwerpen Clarksville?

call Matt in the svc dept at browns fairfax nissan....my name is tony and he might possibly know who i am. He has my car right now and he's pretty cool...has Z stuff all over his little service stand and I think he owns a couple old ones. He's always been real cool to me and I dont think they seem like they care about small mods on cars (as long as its not turbo'd or supercharged or has some crazy cams I think it would be ok)...the main # for browns fairfax is 703-590-8009...oh Matt's with the "blue team" i think.

I have an intake, exhaust and plenum and I had no problems with any warranty work at Norris Nissan on RT. 40 in Ellicott City....they ordered me another tranny last week should be here any day now. Dealerships cannot deny you work because of aftermarket parts unless they prove that that part has affected what your trying to get fixed, its illegal....

Thumbs up

I've had my nissans serviced at Herb Gordon in Silver Spring. They're pretty decent and the mechanics know their stuff. Ask for Greg Edwards he's the service manager. I did ask him about after market CAI and he said in does not void the warranty as long as they are ones who installs it.

Darcars sux period, plus i hate sales people and mechanics that can't speak english!

Rosenthal Nissan is good and fair just behind on TSBs and a little unorganized but good for buying. As far as warrenty I don't know my car is stock.

Rosenthal in Tysons off rt 7 are very up to date with TSBs but that is all i know about them!

This is good to know because my tranny is now grinding in 3rd and 5th. Did they have to actually hear it grind first or did they take your word for it? The grind is intermittent presently, so I wouldn't be able to recreate it for them. Do you know which version of the tranny you're getting? I want to hold out as long as possible so that that the next tranny that goes in my Z is the last version and fixes all of the problems with the current tranny version.
