Congrats on being faster. I doubt I'd have a problem keeping up with you in my 140hp E30 on a road that isn't just straight.

I did the mod my Z thing, then moved on. It's a fun car, but I think it's stupid to drop 10-15 grand in to it to sit at 450whp (if you're lucky).

What is it I don't know about? All you keep doing is insulting my choice in car. My 335i is a total POS . My Vette was definitely junk, but it ran like a raped ape. Ask some of the Mid-A guys, I took a few for a ride.

I've seen Dirty 30 drive, the handling characteristics of his E30 is amazing. I don't take him lightly, even in my 500whp Z + all out racing suspension; which has a hard time keeping up with whatever he's got done. First I thought it was just some old rust bucket. I finally understand why Function:TUNED has one sitting at their shop - it's simply a beast of car if you know what they're capable of.

Spec E30 is some of the best racing in the country to watch. In comparison to say T2-T3 they may not lap as quick, but man they run pretty impressive lap times for 150-160whp. I think the lap record for spec e30 at Summit Main is in the 1:26......anyone who has been on track there knows that's fast. Keep in mind that the track record for T2, which a fully prepped 350z race car, is only a 1:23. Funny thing is the shocks alone on that 350z, JRZ 3 way adjustables, cost about as much as an entry level spec e30 car.

its definitely fun to modify cars and there are some seriously fast Z's in the mid-A but if you think the VQ is an amazing platform for boost then look at the headache the guys with built boosted motors have gone through.. there are much better platforms available
