aftermarket or not, progressive should cover you.

unless you have a specific policy that covers aftermarket parts, you WILL get covered because wheels are necessary for the car to operate per some guidelines.

I dont know the exact terminology my agent used, but lets say your wheels were worth $10 per wheel, and OEM are worj $8 per wheel.

Either way, you'll get covered for $8 x 4, I think your agent is trying to get you covered for $10 x 4 .

So they're not covering this loss at all or what? Like they wouldn't even pay you money to buy some stock rims?

Wow...... what a rip off!!!! Yea should've just told them your stock rims are stolen.... Actually why didn't you do that in the first place? Were your ROTA's worth more than stock rims (retail price)?

#1 RULE OF INSURANCE

The Ins Co will always win, they rape everybody.

Whenever you can win a small battle (claiming stock wheels rather than aftermarket) it wins a small battle in the huge war against Insurance companies.

Carry On

For some reason I always thought you were rollin' on Volks Ian, but I guess it's good you weren't! I'm on CL alot, I'll keep an eye out for them. Toss some contact info up here, or PM me and if I see something I'll email you.
trust me. I just had a pro shop change my shocks with wheels on because they are such a PITA.

5 in radom order per wheel. you might get one that is on all wheels.. one on one wheel..or one on two wheels.

such a pITA

and my locks have spinning outsides for the delay of the socket smash...but then again, that takes time and makes noise to do....

But yes, buy some wheel locks anyways cause it may slow the crooks down enough to get them caught.

Atleast they didn't leave the car on the ground and put it on bricks.

man you are thinking on one lock on each wheel trust me...even crack heads shake their heads at my rims....simply too much to deal with....why risk it?

they will move to the next car with no locks instead.

ohh and the location of the locks require prior knowledge and tools to get to them....and know they are not in the same place....so even if you find all 4 locks....you still have one more to go.

hey lets not talk about the possibility of damage to the rims also... jacking them off with power tools or hammering on sockets could cause damage...hard to sell after that.

80 bucks people!

my insurance is covering for $2600 plus body damage, plus a set of TPS and lug nuts.

It worked out nicely. I can pay the 1000 deductible with the 2600 and then still have enough money to replace the four wheels plus tires.

Why does this sound like insurance fraud? Are you saying they paid you more than what you actually need to replace what was stolen?

No.

All the things covered added up to 2.6. I am not replacing the wheels and tires with what was stolen off of my car.
I am replacing the wheels and tires with used stock wheels and tires.
What i meant by "replace the four wheels plus tires" was not exact replacements. I meant "put wheels and tires on my car."

IS there any way to find out who a license plate belongs to?

There has been a van in my neighborhood since my wheels were stolen. A g35 had rays stolen off of it as well last week...
