Proof?
I snapped a set of stock axles and later a set of DSS stage 2 axles when running drag radials. Wheel hop destroys drivetrain, drag slicks are easier on everything.

If this is the case then I def have no prob with DR's and breaking the axles. 1k is kind of steep though...

I got that price from slidefox on here the company that sells parts off stripped down wrecked Z's

Ive seen guys do axle swaps at the track on jackstands and have been told its pretty easy so if you can learn to do it yourself it may not even be worth buying upgraded axles.

Just get the DSS Pro axles.................just about 2k. Tyler's wheel/slick combo would be ideal for both of you. May need a spacer depending on what the offset.

Slim I thought you popped the Stage 2 axles on street tires at Mason Dixon??

I remember when you snapped them at mason, and Todd helped you swap new ones in... I just don't recall you running radials..

I actually thought both times you broke the axles you were on street tires

its a hike for me, but its been worth it every time.... lines move pretty fast, there aren't 2,000 ricers that break down on the track, and I don't feel like someone is going to break into my car when I walk away from it

not sure man... Aceman used to set them up... always a blast and a great way for guys that have never raced their cars to feel comfortable....

but the last time he tried to set one up... no one really seemed that interested... renting the track is pretty $$ so without enough participants it wont work...

^I'd be willing to set something up, but it would take a large commitment (racers) to make it even somewhat worthwhile.

when we did it in the past we had about 20 racers( maybe a few more) @ 100 bucks each, but Aceman (Todd) also brought in sponsors to lower the cost for us
