July 11th import face off!!!
I did not mean to upset him. Why any man would get upset over something so insignificant is beyond me. It is not like I was claiming to have taken the picture. It is not like the pictures are worth money and I am trying to sell them.
He was the one who requested a "media pass" to shoot pictures at our event. If credit for pictures is so important, have them marked before hand. They could have even been taken down, marked, then put back up with the same link.

I have to agree with HybridMT here......I have seen my pics posted in several places without my consent....it doesn't really bother me. A small amount of effort (watermark) as precaution on your (pfregeolle) end can make this a non issue. Live and learn I suppose. It's unfortunate, but if you post pics online.....expect them to spread like wildfire.....particularly if it is a highly attended event and you submit them for public consumption (forum).
Whatever I'm over it, but I made such a big deal about it because of reasons like this:
http://pasmag.com/events/top-events/...-west-virginia
I get media coverage and credit for the event. It gets my name out there. And my pictures that I posted to this forum I don't care if people I KNOW for the most part are seeing them, that's why I volunteered to post them here. However, in the case of the IFO pics making their way over to MD Street Scene, I wasn't ever asked or notified that they would be used or put over on that forum (That I wasn't a member of at the time), nor when they were posted on that forum was I given the original credit for taking the pictures. I'm not upset that people are seeing them on the internet, and yeah, I'm not retarded; I know that when I post them up online they are accessible by everyone. But I was upset at the fact that my photos were used without my knowledge. Had Hybrid MT come to me and asked/said that he was gonna post them on another forum, I probably would have be stoked about it.
If these were YOUR pictures, would you want some person you don't know taking them and using them on another web page without your knowledge?

If you are looking for exposure......all the more reason to mark your images. This is a public forum.....and as such.....what you post here is essentially public record and for the consumption of the masses. Just sayin'.
Again, if you want credit for your pictures, mark them before releasing to the public. If you do not want to share your pictures with the public, do not request a media pass and do not post them on the internet.
I would imagine you are being paid though, Hybrid. So technically you are making money off those pictures you are taking and posting to the IFO website. Plus it's advertisement AND coverage for you guys.
We do not get paid or ask for money to take pictures of peoples cars at IFO. You will not see us getting upset at photographers for posting pictures without specifying it was at IFO for advertising.
Since everyone is way off topic anyways. I dont why people try to make a track car a drag car. I dont care if you run a 9.90 in the 1/4 its all launch. It takes ten times more skill to throw a car through a series of corners at medium to high speeds than it is to figure out the launch and shift as fast as you can.
or
who makes a car so much show they cant drive it because they are afraid of breaking something.... why?
350z v6 is not made for the 1.4 mile... you can make any car fast, but really. running 11s is fun for you? You missed the point of the 30 years of Z engineering.
and for those about to chime in. I did drag race a mustang. A torque car built for the quarter so dont start talking about something you dont know about. I will call you out.
Who cares about pictures? REALLY, do you know how many times each one of our cars gets snapped while driving down the highway, especially when we do a group drive?
while yall argue and get off topic, you can catch me in the twisties of VA/DC/MD/PA/OH/IN/IL/MO/OK... actually Arkansas has some very nice roads in the north western corner too.

Im all about speed but doing 160 on a highway at rush hour I am totally against.
But I can not say that my car has not exceeded the speed limit once or twice. lol
I meant the off road rallying.....a la sti's, etc. The road rallying seems somewhat fun, but I don't like to speed on the highway......I just put the cruise control on 5-6 over and let it ride.

Watermark your pics next time, don't claim someone "steals" your photos when you yourself posted them up "online". Actually come back over on MDSTREETSCENE and explain yourself there since you joined made one post and dissapeared.
