VA inspection sticker
My car has a VA inspection sticker. I'm not in VA. I'd love to remove it, and would have busted out the razor and gone at it already, if not for one big factor.
The windshield is tinted, thus negating the usefulness of a razor blade. No sense trying to kill the sticker with it if it ends up ruining the tint.
I'd prefer not to have the tint removed too, but if absolutely necessary I suppose I could do it.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to get the sticker off without destroying the tint?

****ed if i know. that's where they put it. inspection was done before i bought it. odds are that's where VA requires it to be placed, since every car i see at work with VA inspection has 'em inside, bottom center just like mine.
Only Z I found in maryland that I liked was owned by a dickmouth in Frederick. He was asking 14k. I was willing to pay full asking price. He then told me he'd had a guy call him from WV offering 14,400 and wanted me to pay 14,500.
I told him good luck with the auction.
Only other acceptable car in the area I found was the one in VA.
So that's what MD gets for not having anything acceptable when I was in the market.

I've never noticed an inspection sticker placed outside the windshield. Here in Missouri, the sticker is placed on the lower driver''s side inside windshield. Of course that usually isn't a problem since tint on the windshield is illegal anyway.
Some states actually put the inspection stickers on the outside glass?
well while i'm not one to debate the "why do they put it there" aspect (because i couldn't care less
) i'm gonna just try soaking the CRAP out of the paper portion to get it pulled off, then use denatured alcohol to try and remove the adhesive.
looks like I might just end up having to get the tint removed just to deal with this. :\

My inspection sticker is on the inside, in the bottom middle of the windshield. That's where VA requires it to be.
The reason it is inside is because it's not vinyl, but a paper material.

Is it under the tint or did they cut around it? Typically they'll cut around it which will give you an untinted square in the center when you remove it anyway. I'd just take the tint off the windshield and the sticker too.
Anyone know a good way to cut tint already installed on the windshield to put the inspection sticker on??
I just got mine done while visiting family up in ohio, 20% all around and 35% on the windshield, but they took off my VA inspection sticker and did not leave a hole to put it back on.
