How do the Harley guys get away with it?
Lets not forget 95% of HD riders if not more ride at the speed limit or just under.......
Anytime I get on 495. 9 out of 10 sport bike riders I see I always hope they run into the back of a car. Yes I ride bikes and yes I'm serious I'd love to see them get taken out.
There's a time and place to speed. 495 with mild traffic at 120-130-140-150mph in and out of cars with 10 other bikes IS NOT the time.

Speaking of mid-life crisis, I have been shopping used Ferraris and really like the price point on a late 90's 550. Looks like you can get them for around 70K..... oh well, I need to start a new thread for my questions.
I totally agree with the point of the question. I am a supervisor at a food DC. There are about 50 semi drivers whom it seems have the loudest motorcycles out there. I don't agree with the comment that its riders vs ricers. I know several muscle car owners who also seem to have issues with the law. I don't think its fair that motorcycles can wake up the dead and get free passes. To me I also don't agree with the law telling me that I have to wear a seat belt because they care about my safety. But they allow motorcycles on the roads. I feel I am more likely to walk away from a head on at 50mph without wearing my seat belt than a motorcycle is even if they are wearing a helmet. Which some states don't even require!!!!! But I'm sure riders on here will tell me that's there given right to ride. Which I agree, but to me it's all about states wanting my money for tickets than my safety with seat belts. I know, a little of topic.
I have one of the loudest exhausts in my area and have had cops directly behind me and have never been pulled over. That being said I've heard northern VA cops/Mid A are ****ing ruthless. Really nothing you can do about it. I guess at least it doesn't put points on your license right? Move somewhere where cops have something better to do put pull cats out of trees.
I wear ear plugs somewhat often in my car, and it is LOUD. I have never been pulled over for the exhaust (or ever in my Z...actually....knock on wood). Only time I got an "exhaust ticket" was when I finished up a 3.5" downpipe on my old turbo integra, and took it for a test ride (no exhaust). I think it was the large fireballs coming out from under the car that actually got me caught though....

Because you never want to interrupt a beyotch while she is speeding and talking on her cell phone with 4 kids in the van in midday traffic.

I don't screw around in NVA.
Wrong. One of the first things any Harley owner does once they get their brand-new-from-the-factory-bike is to throw straight pipes on, or some other form of modified exhaust. Don't act like the sound that comes to most people's minds when they think "Harley" is a factory exhaust, which is loud only compared to cars, but still obnoxiously loud.
