It appears the loud exhaust just draws attention to your car. Therefore, just don't make it loud and they will leave you alone.
The last part doesn't make sense if both vehicles (the bike and car) both have modified exhaust why does the car get pulled over more than the bike. That's what we are getting at.

I've had my APS 3" for about 2 years now and I live in Fairfax County. I've only been pulled over once and only got a warning. Maybe I'm just lucky

Removing the baffles is completely illegal.

I have received one warning on my Apexi system. Which was retarded. When receiving the warning a chitty honda drove by sounding like a blender while i just stared the pigster down.

No. All that means is that they have one less thing that they can pull you over for. Believe or not a cop can find a reason to pull anyone over.

It still needs to hold up in court. A lot of people don't bother going and just pay the fine.

hate to play devil's advocate but...

When a cop pulls over a loud modified car, there is a good chance he's going to find multiple illegal mods he can write up.

Most of these Harley guys are just cruising around. Their loud pipes probably save lives and keep people from hitting them when they're splitting lanes during traffic.

How often do cops see these guys? And when they do is it really worth pulling them all over for just a sound pollution ticket?

Not true, in Maryland as with most every other state in the country outside of CA (where you live), police do not give a damn about mods.

There's ZERO issues with the exhaust outside of noise level. I've yet to know anyone to get pulled over for a loud exhaust that didn't do something to catch the police's attention in the first place.

Same goes for 9 out of 10 speeding tickets where the person wasnt speeding.....

Yeah, my observations are mostly from California.

San Diego is HQ's to "DragNet", basically a Police team that researches and cites illegal car mods, and pull stolen, or illegally modified cars of the streets. This was back when street racing was rampant after the first F&F movie. It was so successful that other counties in CA adopted the same program.

I spoke to one of these Dragnet officers about the whole "Harley vs. Mod'ed Car" debate and he casually said the same thing...

"Most of these Harley-style biker clubs are just cruising around...kind of a waste to cite a couple of them for fixable infractions. Other cops can do it, but I rather be keeping some of you kids safe..."

I personally don't like the bias either...but there's one reason.
