I may be able to come in a little cheaper on the labor but true that the other two are more experienced with this platform. I do alot of Nissan work and always have but probably 60-70% of what I do is Mitsu.

This is a fairly simple install and all these places may be able to do it, but can they tune? If so, what software are they using? UpRev Osiris?

to be honest, you can't really go wrong w/ a supercharger install. My buddies and I have knocked out an install in our garage on my old car, no special tools/lifts needed. Any competent mechanic can do this provided that they have detailed instructions from GTM. If not, there are countless threads of people doing it right here on the boards, but I highly doubt you'll run into issues.

Totally agree the install should be able to be done by just about any one its the tune that you should be very careful about and take it to the best. A good tune can save your engine or grenade it.

+1 on the TUNE!!! I suggest Osirius uprev + custom tune. The pre-tuned stuff is never good - reason being is they have to tune for the most general/broad range of vehicles in various climates/elevations... aka NOT specific to your car. Then again, its a supercharger. The chances of something going wrong is fairly slim. Most cases you'll have supercharger issues, but hardly have I seen engine issues.

doesnt matter... its still not YOUR car being tuned on the dyno.

Same reason every Z will dyno a different number. there are just too many variables and differences.

Wait, so a tune won't matter? I am confused I thought some are saying a tune is key but then I read my car won't matter!? I am sure I can not read correct or mis- understood. I will try attaching a link to a quote I got from function tuned.

on that quote you have a NA reflash???

And the TUNE is most important that why it needs to be done on YOUR car on the dyno. Getting a base tune from GTM is just one they made on one of there cars its not your vehicle specific. Only way they could make it for just you is if you ship your to them.

Hills has an amazing tuner and can set you up right with Osiris up rev engine management and a great custom dyno tune.

many members can attest to his tuning ability including myself

qoutes look very comparable. You already have my reccomendation for what shop.

Little tip is buy your own oil and filters it will save you allot. Let the shop supply the power steering fluid and other small amount liquids. the price difference on them is negligible and is easier to make sure its the right stuff.

Now I understand, or so I believe ;p Now as far as tune, Don't quote me but I could of sworn both people I talked to said what they quoted me would get me going 100% fine with nothing wrong and my car would run great. Though reading this I will call them next week to ask more about my car's personal tune! Thanks Barnabas!
