a OEM or equivalent rotor is more then enough for stock brakes. Just get a good pad (Hawk as most have said is also what I would suggest)

If you feel the need to go to drilled/slotted do so when upgrading to a BBK as then they will actually function the way they are ment to.

Another thing to consider if you are set on getting drilled/slotted is that you get what you pay for. A cheap drilled AND slotted rotor has the history of cracking and or warping due to lack of material.

I would suggest slotted only if you really want something upgraded on your rotors as this will help with channeling dust out under heavy braking and there is less chance of problems and is also useful on a DD car unlike drilled.

Shin, check out ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Drill...item336cf89ca8

That kit comes with new rotors and pads front/rear.

$164.90 buy it now price.

$25 a rotor and $8 each brake pad.

Kyle remember, its not about stopping, its about how you look while stopping.

I was thinking more like this:

http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35...oducts_id=2240

But I can't find any reviews for it or anything, so I don't know if it really helps.

I remember Anh saying something about drilled rotors shearing or cracking under continued hard use [track days] and that's what pushed me to go with some slotted ones from STOP-Tech. I also upgraded to SS lines and better pads as well. Haven't failed me yet.

When was the last time you had your car up to a staggering 98mph?

Nobody here feels the need to talk about stupid stuff they do on the street " on a daily basis " as you so eloquently put it..

Your obviously going to do what you are going to do, and so be it

but It's unnecessary to post about it... its quite childish

I hate hawk pads, they suck. Just get stock blank rotors. Replace the fluid with some ATE Blue. Get stock or stoptech pads.

I've never had a set of street or race pads from hawk that were any good at all....

Never had a problem with hps pads, I can definitely see how they would suck in a competitive environment,

but for dd and drag racing they have performed quite well... I definitely agree with blank rotors for the win

Are stoptech pads cheaper? I've never looked into them, I've only ever looked at hawk and carbotech

They are 15-20 bucks cheaper for the four....and superior to the HPS in every single way.

I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I went over 100mph on the street in a car.

Have I done it before? Sure, there's a time and place for everything. Doing it any chance you get isn't the right time or place.

Shin you seem to think we all haul *** on the streets all the time. As with street race all the time. Since we must do it, it means its ok for you to do it.
