Default dc area.

So I just celebrated my 21st birthday not too long ago and I haven't really done anything. Although I have never been a club type person, I was wondering if there are any cool bars/clubs in the dc area. Maybe we could even get a meet going together since I am out here by myself and I don't want to go to the club/bar alone. Any ideas?

It really depends on what you're looking for bar wise. If you're a beer lover, you may want to try the Brickskeller near Dupont Circle, low key, and relax atmosphere with tons of beer to choose from around the world.

If you're more into bar/club scene, Adams Morgan has tons of them and it has more of the college crowd feel to it. I'm sure you could possibly find one to your likings there and plenty of women to choose from.

If you have cash to burn, then any clubs located in Georgetown on the waterfront could possibly fill your needs, although I'm not sure about the crowd.

Its not how you stand by your car, its how you drive your car.

We're a pretty mixed bag in the Mid- A age-wise. So depending on the type of environment you prefer you'll get a lot of answers across the board. You're not the only young member here, maybe it's time for a group meet/party for the newly legal members? Start a thread and gauge people's interest.

I may show up for meet for new Mid A people since I'm pretty new myself. It all depends on work of course, it's the busy time of the year for me.

What about November 19th or 20th? How does that work for everyone? And that Brickskeller sounds pretty awesome!

It depends

Bars I recommend:
McFaddens on Pens. Ave (My stomping ground)
Sign of the Whale @ M Street (I go over there after McFaddens closes lol)
Corner Stone @ College Park (Plan B) Cheap and fun too
3rd Edition (Georgetown I think)
Rhino bar (maybe)

Clubs:
Tatto
9:30
Fur (hit or miss)
18th Street lounge

It just depends on:
Your type of music
Are you trying to get hammered
Some bars are always packed (dunno if thats your style)
Price (edit* your a girl)

Only problem with the Brickskeller is parking. There is none since you have to have the zone sticker and all. But a few blocks up the street on Florida Ave., there's a paid parking garage. As for the meet date, no guarantees, I would have to play it by ear when it's closer.

Thats what I am trying to avoid. But you know what this site is chill compared to supraforums, leg hump galore over there. So thumbs up to you guys!

2nd of all, if the bars are metro accessible (which Brickskeller is)then we don't have to worry about parking. College park is right next door to me. I'm honestly down for anything, I have never been to a bar, so I am looking forward to getting this thing rolling!

Sounds like we should leave the destination up to you since you know your way around pretty well! LOL.
