Well maybe ill look into a beater. Any other towns I should consider, and any tips on a rout to the research facility. It looks like its right below the AFB and driving around it looks like it could be a pain.

On a different note, any brew pubs or good restaurants in the area?

F250 7.3l Diesel.

Old winter beaters were a 97 cavalier then a 99 4x4 ranger. Snow isnt too bad in md but the weather changes here as much as you change your underwear so its nice to not have to DD the Z

Visiting PA for the first time in winter and its fuc'*NG cold .. hope I can make it in MD. If I get a winter car does it have to be 4x4?? I'm pretty sure I can handle the summer coming from SC..

the summers can be nice...and yet very very hot, but since your coming from the south you can handle it haah!

If you're not accustomed to humidity, I'd really suggest coming here during the Spring and not Summer. I came down from Buffalo and my first Summer here I don't think I've ever sweated that much. It can get brutal here if you're not used to it.

I've never had issues with any FWD car with all season tires on it.

Any car + sport tires = total fail in the winter.
