Hey as some of you know I just moved into a new house not too long ago. I am looking to get a few rooms' carpet professionally cleaned. Anyone knows of anyone reliable, does good work and charges good price? The house in located in Rockville, MD BTW. Looking to get scheduled on Saturday! Thanks in advance.
I've always gotten great deals and service with Stanley Steamer honestly. They'll usually throw in rooms or stairs and stuff for free sometimes depending on how much you're getting done.
Here's their website with the local specials they run (just put in your zip code).

Recently rented rug doctor at the grocery store. Results exceeded my expectations. Did 3 rooms in about 6 hours. I did each room twice. Once with soap. Once with clean water. Carpet was dry by 9 PM.

Heaven's Best -- I have had great results using them. Unlike stanley steamer they use a method that allows the carpets to dry in about an hour. With most companies the carpets will be wet for quite some time. When it comes to carpet cleaning, I've found you get what you pay for. Sears has done work for renters moving out of my listings and its always horrible, but they are cheap.
I run a commercial cleaning company, but we dont do residential.
I can tell you though, those rug doctor machines are almost identical to what we use, so take your time with that and do it right.
The guys that dont "extract" and only bonnet buff - which is spraying cleaning powder on top and "buffing" out the dirt only makes it smell good and hardly cleans. Hot water + chemical extraction is the best method for most.
Good luck!

You can pre-spot with a 50-50 mix of woollite-water in a spray bottle.
More soap is NOT better. It just makes the rinse more difficult.
Current humidity is 100 percent. Terrible time to be drying carpet.

Ended up hiring a carpet cleaning company called Express Carpet Dry. They do this dry cleaning process. It looks good and smells good! Pretty decent price and great communication.
