Forged Internals finally IN!!!
So......
I finally got the word back from my tuner and my car is done!!!! Power is not as much as I expected with forged internals. I am hearing people out here putting down 440+whp on stock internals with my turbo kit (powerlabs GT35R) with no fuel return no addtional fuel pump cams etc.... Am i missing something here? Anyway, long story short final numbers on 14psi 486whp and 462wtq. tuner says that is all im getting with out fuel.
Not bad i guess, but was really hoping to hit that 500whp mark.
Future plans will be fuel return, addtional fuel pump, and cams. After that maybe i can play with the big boys out there.

I was able to hit 495rwhp with Frank (Tuning techniques) at Hills. Was a perfect day for it though. Also both Franks didnt feel it was safe at that HP. They backed it down to 470rwhp for a safer boost setting. This is all on stock internals but a lot of bolt ons. You need to upgrade your fuel system. You have to go with a return setup. What injectors are you running? There are so many factors that take affect on power numbers. Frank told me that the final number is a guessing game. He uses the dyno for nothing more than a tool. The ultimate test is how the car feels while you drive it. Plus I am not sure what type of dyno they used but different dynos read differently. If the car runs awesome dont worry with the numbers. I was always worried about numbers when I first had Mike (AAM) tune my car. It had issues. Then Frank tuned it and it feels like a factory turbo car. Thats the ultimate compliment. If you can say that about your car then dont worry with numbers
. As far as power goes. There is always a more powerful car. I have the uptmost respect for people like Alberto, until you have started down this path you have know idea of the money lost, agrivation, and worry that comes from going to F/I. He has the baddest car I have heard of locally. To me that means his stress level is twice of what I have gone through! Hope that helps.

Seems low for the boost, I put down 442 at 8.5lbs although it does hit a peak of around 9.2
Then again I do have a fuel return and RRFPR
With fuel upgrades you should be able to get well into the 500s
EDIT, with the new internals did you lower the CR of the motor? If so that would be why you're running such high boost VS other setups in the 440 range at much less boost.

An oil cooler!
Though I would say stick w/ 480whp for now and learn how to drive on that power level before wanting more. It's a totally different machine than what you're used to. I remember the first time I was in the 400's I had to relearn proper throttle modulation - the back end loves to kick out on you. Even MORE fun when you're in the 500+ range!
P.S. it's been so long since someone started a "i just got boosted!" thread here in Mid-A, we're all slacking.

Was your car at PFS?
Low compression boost numbers will of course be lower than comparing them to stock block.
You also cant compare boost numbers between a ST/low comp and a TT/factory comp setup.
Even with fuel system and cams you wont run with big boys (limited by your kit really) but you WILL crush 90% of cars you will realistically come across and $hit on most VQ's.
I think at the moment you have a good power level, which with a good alignment, and tires you will be hooking in 2nd in the summer months. Have fun with it.
Greddy is spot on, for even 100whp I went up from 500whp, my problems, repairs, and headaches have been gretaly increased, all while my wallet has been sucked motherfawking dry.
In the end, Id take 500whp reliably over 700whp and crossing my fingers it stays together

Even with a fuel return and single pump 550whp is all you can hope for, but I don't think a single GT35-R will get there easily on pump gas with a low CR. Nice numbers anyways, enjoy the boost!
As Alberto said it best.
More isn't always better. Even more so when you're driving a ticking time bomb.
Time for a little nerdiness...
Assumption:
Bigger fuel mods = More fuel
Bigger turbo = More air
Now the math....
Fuel + Air = Combustion
More (Fuel + Air) = More (Combustion)
More Fuel + More Air = More Combustion
Bigger fuel mods + Bigger Turbo = More Combustion
And I think this one is straight forward... more combustion = more powaaaahhhhh

correct me if I'm wrong, but a CJM stg 1 FRS + Walbaro 255 will yield him no more than 550whp before he needs a secondary fuel pump, (under the assumption that the injectors can feed enough juice + the turbo isn't maxed out @ that lvl)
The only thing I can think of to yield higher #'s would be a meth injection kit. Powerlab did advertise they can push 600whp w/ their kit, wonder if anyone has done it yet.

Congrats on that
I hear what you are saying, the car does feel incredible! It seriously feels as though it came from the factory turbo'd. Im not 100% what type of dyno was used. I never even thought to ask LOL. Anyway you are right about chasing numbers. Im not building a damn race car lol. I just want something fast, looks nice, handles, and feels awesome. And i feel I hit that goal.

I see what your saying, I was driving into work this morning and for a street car it felt pretty perfect! I really dont think at this point after driving the car that there is anything else i want to do.
And trust me I will diff enjoy it. Hopefully one of these days I will actually meet you and get a chance to go in a ride in your street monster. It seems that i show up before or after you everytime we are at the same meets

I am diff going to stay with the 480whp for now on the way home lastnight from picking up my car I was spinning tires at 60 LOL im running toyo tr1s 285 so not bad tires. gonna have to get some better ones soon that is for sure though. And i can see it taking me a little bit of time to get used to it. I havent floored it or ran any gears through and feels pretty damn beast

and I agree we have to get this spring/summer going we need to get together and make some things happen!
I have yet to meet Jeffie or see his car, have never meet alberto only seen his car outside of PFS once! Lets together and have some fun this year. The mature kind, not the lets do donuts in the parking lot kind.

What are you using for tuning? Ray has a Dynojet btw...Id do some BC2 cams, the fuel system and let Ray max it, he isnt scared to push setups (not neccessarily the motor) to its limit. The man has experience tuning a decade before most of the big name shops were even working on Z's let alone imports.

Ive seen your car plenty of times its cleeeeean as hell, makes my car look like a POS on the outside. I always wondered whos it was but I never really asked I wouldnt want to know anything about the car the owner doesnt want to share.

Thanks man! Funny thing is, I did all the cosmetic stuff first never even thought about a turbo, let alone a build. Just wanted it to be clean. But one thing lead to another as Im sure you know.
Right now Im running UTEC. Ray is pushing me to get the ProEFI though. Its funny you mention BC2 cams, and fuel system. Same thing Ray told me lastnight when I told him my power goal. So that might be in my near future.
