Not so sure about powder coating an FMIC...wouldn't a light coat paint be better conductor thermally? I'd be worried the powder coating would affect it thermally.
They sell intercooler paint, I know that for a fact and it is designed to allow the intercooler to function normally. i do not know about powder coating though. Maybe on the edges but I cant see on the fins.
